Искусство Рембрандта - очевидный Божий дар, а раввинов я всегда представлял мудрыми людьми. И те, с которыми я общаюсь виртуально, это подтверждают. Вероятно, мне повезло.
Кстати, о живописи. Мне бы очень хотелось узнать, кто изображен на этой картине:
Написана она на рубеже 19 и 20 веков малоизвестным шведским художником. Есть какая-то возможность выяснить, кто этот человек?

У рава Кука вообще с христианской духовностью очень интересные взаимотношения были. Например, стих גדול יהיה כבוד הבית הזה האחרון מן הראשון он трактует следующим образом:
"מבנין הבית השני יצאה אורה לאומות העולם יותר מאשר מהבית הראשון, ועל זה נרמז: גדול יהיה כבוד הבית האחרון, שזהו ביחש לתקון אומות העולם... וזהו שנרמז במה שנמסרה אסתר תחת יד ערל, ועל ידה ניצל גם הוא, וגם היתה תשועה לאומות העולם, כי על-ידי כורש שיצא ממנה נבנה הבית, ועל ידו היה אור לאומות העולם באור דעות טהורות הכלולות בתורה הקדושה"" (מאורות הראיה חנוכה עמ' רלז).
Понимать эти слова можно по-разному, но по-моему речь здесь идёт о распространении христианства.
...Анекдотично, что через пару днейпосле того, как я наткнулся на этот отрывок у р. Кука, Госпоже вручили на улице миссионерскую листовку, где тот же самый (достаточной малоизвестный, надо признаться) стих трактуется в том же духе как очередное пророчество о пришествии Христа и распространении его учения.
